You can visit without having to worry about your guests needing to get home to put the kids to bed, plus brunch tends to be a little more informal. Mid-to-late morning times also tends to be a bit more available for people who have very busy schedules!

Brunch is one of the best meal occasions but I unfairly associate it with warm weather, and as we don’t get a lot of that in the UK I tend not to serve up too many brunches! But this weekend I’m going to treat my friends to brunch…
Oh good! And I know what you’re saying about how brunch can evoke the feelings of warm weather. But I say make that your advantage!!! When you’re feeling that the weather is dreary and down, brighten things up with a little brunch with friends!! When I lived in Wisconsin and it would be the dead of winter, we would have gatherings where we would drink fruity tropical drinks and play reggae music to make everything seem like it wasn’t so frigid cold and dank! 🙂

We love brunch here! We have a baby boy and our friends have kids, so it’s much easier to welcome them to our house + it’s a good excuse to enjoy the company of our friends with delicious treats! 🙂 I will go and take a look at your buttermilk pancakes!
We love brunch too! And yes, entertaining at your own home is so great with kids — adults get to enjoy eachother’s company and the kids get a more relaxed atmosphere.
