Purchasing a new home — whether it be your first, second, or third — can be a very exciting yet stressful time. There is so much to do and remember. Having the support of friends and family can make the world of difference.
When you have family or friends that have purchased a new home, giving them a little something from the heart is a wonderful way of showing that support. This is a great housewarming gift to give for the friend or family member that has just bought a new place but hasn’t completely moved in yet. We included a Homemade Baguette, Chocolate Sauce, Sweet and Savory Almonds, Hill Country Lavender (that can be used for scent or culinary purposes), honey, and a bottle of wine. The container is actually a packing box with packing material underneath the tissue paper. So not only do the receivers of this housewarming gift get to be nourished with homemade goodies, but they also get another box for packing their belongings!
Below is a little step by step of creating the gift box. 🙂
What a great idea!
Thanks Cynthia!

Hehe! Me too! Let’s get too it! 🙂
I’m thinking about the neighbors who come and go and I never even know their name. Wonder if a thoughtful gift box would have made a difference.
You know, I’ve wondered that as well. We know a couple of our neighbors but I’ve thought about if extending the “welcome wagon” approach might keep some staying in the neighborhood longer.
