Autumn Tablescapes: White is the New Pumpkin

white pumpkins

To be honest, I tend to shy away from trends when it comes to holiday decorating.  However, I have just fallen in love with white pumpkins during the fall season!  The use of white pumpkins can make any other hue you are using for your tablescape color palette really pop.

I love the white pumpkin craze. finally getting a spot in the limelight. But I don’t think I could resist a little orange in there too 🙂

These are all gorgeous. I love white pumpkins too. In Northern NJ I had a hard time finding some, sigh!

I couldn’t agree more…with white decor it doesn’t clash with your interior house colors then.

I hadn’t really noticed white, full-size pumpkins until I went pumpkin shopping this past weekend. They’re gorgeous! I wasn’t sure about carving one for the porch, because I didn’t know if it would stand out enough in the dark, but I love them for tablescapes like this.

Loving those pumpkins. They’re not a big deal over here. And it’s only really possible to buy the normal orange type. I’ve never seen white pumpkins before!

The first year we were married, right after Thanksgiving, Target had a beautiful white pumpkin soup tureen and a white turkey soup tureen that were cast in terra cotta so that along the lines the reddish color shown through just a little from the milky white glaze. My kids ALWAYS – every single year – tease me about getting out my ghost pumpkin and chicken – yes, they KNOW it’s a turkey. But it goes with everything and I can change it up year to year with different fabrics and flowers. This year, I see white is back “in”. My daughter was at Michael’s and brought me a set of white turkey salt and pepper shakers……….at least I have finally won ONE person over! 🙂
