Week In Review: Party Planning, Apples, and Monty Python

Bring Me A Shrubbery

It has been raining all week.  Texas DESPERATELY needs the rain so it is a very good thing.  And with the rain coming down, I think it is a perfect time for us to curl up on the couch and watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail!  Just beware of the Knights that say “Ni”!

Another thing that I’m drawn to when the rain is coming down and I’m feeling all cozy inside…APPLES!  Apple season is one of my favorite things about fall.  And cooking with apples makes me all sorts of happy!  Check out Green Door’s apple recipes like Brandied Apple Butter, Baked Apple Crisp, Caramel-Apple Liqueur Infusion and Individual Apple French Toast Bakes.  And while you’re at it, make sure to take a look at these other wonderful recipes from fellow bloggers!

Party Planner Task Cards from Time With Thea

Whether you’re planning Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah or a Halloween Party, it is good to have a plan!  Thea over at Time with Thea lays out a wonderful organizational tool for you to use when planning your next event!  Between the mind map and the task cards, I was in party planning heaven when I saw this post a few months back.  Make sure to hop on over and read How to Plan a Party and eliminate some of the stress that comes from hosting holiday events!

Oh you made me smile, I LOVE Monty Python and the Holy Grail, I have probably seen it a hundred times and it still makes me laugh every time. Thank you for the shoutout, Just made some apple cider applesauce (apples make me happy too) to make those loaves.

I love baking with apples, cooking too. I also like when it rains at this time of year, a time when everything starts to get ready for winter.

Simple baked apples with brown sugar and cinamon in the cored out middles are the best! My daughter and husband love Monty Python!
