Week in Review: Shark Week, Bird Feeders, and Libations

Shark Week Baby

Shark Week starts on Sunday and when I saw this image while surfing the internet, I just couldn’t resist!  Now if only all sharks were this adorable!

Let’s kick off August with a round of cocktails!  My culinary series, Cocktail Corner, is a great place to start.  These other bloggers have the right idea with these tasty summer libations!

Lavender Lemonade Mojitos from We are Not Martha

White Wine Kiwi-Apple Sangria from Mama’s Gotta Bake

Blueberry-Orange Gin and Tonic from Boozed and Infused

Pineapple Cilantro Beer Cocktail from The Porto Bellas

The Scorpion from Putney Farm

Campari Cocktails from Gourmet Veggie Mama

One of our favorite things about having a big backyard has been creating a habitat for the local birds to enjoy.  These Days of Mine did a lovely tutorial on how to create a whimsical and pretty bird feeder out of a cup and saucer.  What a fun project to add beauty to your gardens while feeding the birds at the same time!

So darling! And I really like the DIY bird feeder. Just yesterday I was thinking about getting a bird feeder and now I’m going to make one instead. 🙂

I have created an habitat in my garden for wild birds as well, they come every day and after they eat what I prepared for them, they sing happily. What sweet sounds they make!

They sure do! We love our wild birds. Watching them from our patio brings so much joy and peaceful happiness!
