Week In Review: Muppet Mythbusters, Craft Beers, and Grocery Store Wars

Muppet Mythbusters

If you didn’t notice from my Muppet Themed Party Planning Post, I love The Muppets!  So when I saw this meme, I just had to share!  Love me some Bunsen and Beaker!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was excited to find out from You Stay Hoppy Austin that June starts the nationwide State Beer Challenge!  This challenge is designed to promote the consumption of craft beer made within your own state.  The idea is to only drink beer that is made in the state that you are in for the month of June.  So for us, it will be nothing but craft beers from Texas.  And let’s say we go up to Wisconsin during June — then as soon as we are there, it is all about the Wisconsin beers.  It is a great way to support local craft beers!  Check out You Stay Hoppy Austin for more information, as well as twitter hashtags, etc.
While drinking delicious local beers this coming month, make sure to check out these delicious recipes from other bloggers that are sure to compliment the beginning of summer and those hoppy beverages!
Skirt Steak with Cilantro-Garlic Sauce from Spoon and Ink
Italian Pasta Salad from Leaner by the Lake
Asparagus Wrap with Bacon from Gotasté
Parsley and Cheddar Cheese Soup from Feed the Piglet
Mango Salsa Roja from Red, White and Blueberries
A big thank you to my mom for posting the following video on her Facebook!  I laughed so hard — the perfect blend of Star Wars and supporting organically grown food!
    Your weekly wrap up is always fun Kenley! I’m not much of a beer drinker but I will be on the lookout for local craft beers this month!
  8. Oh my gosh…that video was AMAZING. It had three of my favorite elements: puns, parodies, and personification. And that last sentence had another one of my favorite things: alliteration! (Can you tell I was an English teacher? Lol.) “May the farm be with you!”
Let me know what you think!
