Happy Memorial Day!
I had the great pleasure of guest blogging over at Gourmet Veggie Mama earlier this month. In case you missed it, here is my recipe to make a pitcher of Classic Mojitos!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nothing says refreshing cocktail for the spring and summer months like a classic mojito. The cool combination of mint and lime makes this drink the perfect companion to a breezy and sunny weekend afternoon. Plus, it is a great way to use all the mint that pops up in our garden. When it starts creeping, prune and make mojitos!
There are a lot of great interpretations and variations to the mojito — ones that bring flavors like strawberry, lemongrass, coconut, and blueberries to the table. However, to me, nothing beats a classic.
Classic Mojitos, Pitcher — modified from Easy Entertaining with Michael Chiarello
Muddle together lime juice, sugar and mint until mint leaves are bruised and sugar is dissolved. in a large pitcher.
Add ice to the pitcher, along with rum and club soda. Stir until combined.
Garnish with lime slices and pour!**
** I personally love the mint leaves loose in the drink, but some may choose to strain out as they are poured into glasses.
Sip and Enjoy!
Just the day here for mojitos!
It sure is!! 🙂
