Holiday Entertaining – Winter Edition: Santa Breakfast Tablescape

GDH_WinterBreakfastCenterpiece_2012

It’s wonderful to have an elegant table for the holidays, such as my Dazzling Gold and Ruby Tablescape that I posted the other day.  But sometimes it’s just as fun to bring out the fun and whimsy of the holidays.  A casual breakfast gathering is the perfect time for this — perhaps even Christmas morning breakfast with the family!

For this tablescape I utilized a Santa table runner that I’ve had for years and paired it with a poinsettia centerpiece, short green candles, and bowls of cinnamon scented pine cones.  The napkin rings are red and green bell ornaments.  Juice will be served in tall, quilted mason jars and coffee served in our Santa mugs.  The green ramekins will be filled with Individual Apple French Toast Bake (recipe coming).  The overall effect makes for a casual meal spent with family and loved ones, celebrating the joy of the season.
