With the winter holidays upon us, I thought it would be fun to show you some different place setting ideas that I created for entertaining this season. These were created with items I had on hand. Just like with the Holiday Entertaining – Autumn Edition, the biggest take away is to be creative and utilize what you have.
This is a great place setting for a casual breakfast or lunch during the holidays. The Santa table runner adds a nice bit of whimsy and I scattered green Christmas bulbs along the table for some visual interest.
This place setting offers a touch of rustic elegance, perfect for a small dinner with friends. The napkin ring is made from a bell ornament. I simply used the twine loop that normally gets used to put it on the tree, and pulled the napkin through.
Wow your guests with a little something extra at your place setting. I got the idea for the bow tie napkin folding from Nancy Creative. I think the bow is perfect for the holidays, and paired with the gold charger it makes for a really beautiful and impressive presentation.
A simple and elegant green pear placed on a folded napkin can make for a lovely look for a nice dinner with family or friends. The red tablecloth and napkins are nicely contrasted by the green in both the runner and the pear. You can use different runners and items placed on the napkin to easily change up this look for different evenings.
For this elegant table setting, I used glitter snowflake ornaments with the strings removed. Pairing those with snowflake bulb ornaments in silver and white created a nice contrast, while still maintaining the snowflake theme. My favorite aspect of this look is the use of the glitter snowflakes to act as coasters for the wine glasses.

They are all so lovely, I love the one that looks like a bow tie.

Thanks Cynthia! The bow is my favorite as well!
The bow tie is my favorite! Thanks for joining the link party, Kenley! xo Kristin
Mine too! And as napkin folding goes, it really isn’t that difficult. Great for Christmas — and would also be perfect for a Father’s Day dinner!
