Yesterday, I showed you are place cards for our ‘Thankful with Friends’ dinner party. We are doubling our pumpkin butter guest gifts as place cards with the addition of some fabric remnants and a black permanent marker.
Here are some other fun and festive place card options to brighten up your Thanksgiving table!
This is a fun one and you could even enlist your kids to help. Collect (or buy) rocks. Paint with neutral color and use permanent marker to write your guest’s names.
This is a simple and elegant use of mini pumpkins with printed cards. The graphic image could be anything that you want for your occasion — a leaf, a turkey, etc.
I love the simplicity of this. The image was found on a wedding site, but I think these would work very well for some Autumn Entertaining! Mini pumpkins, twine, paper business cards, and a hole punch and you’ve got yourself an easy and fun place card!
Want to do something a bit different than using pumpkins or gourds? Pomegranates make a beautiful and unique alternative!
ConfettiStyle has used vintage scrabble boards and tiles to create different sentiments at each place setting. I think this would be wonderful to use as a place card!
As I mentioned yesterday, Place Cards add a really fun element to your dinner party, plus add an extra decorative touch to your table! They promote conversation and mingling amongst guests that may not know each other, creating an overall sense of comfort for your guests. And even if your dinner party consists of family members who know each other all too well, place cards have a way of making everyone feel special and included!

I love the ones with the pumpkins. I love your posts.
Aw, thanks so much Cynthia! And I love your posts…and your comments! 🙂
The scrabble tiles are such a cute idea. I could totally see guests mixing around the tiles to see how many words they could make out of the letters of their names.
Oh that would be such a fun game to go along with dinner! I love it!
These are so great! I love the mini pumpkin idea. But I really love a good game of Scrabble!
So do I!! 🙂
I love the ideas! I am so inspired. Thank you! ~Thea
